Brain Dead Moves Up its Reebok Classic Leather Release

0

Original Story (04/10/20): Kyle Ng of LA-based Brain Dead has revealed that an upcoming collaboration with Reebok is in the works in which the two ditch the classic silhouette for a more textured look.

The upper includes a variety of different materials in an earthy color palette, swapping the original leather construction for mesh paneling that runs through the midfoot. Brain Dead branding overtakes the usual Reebok logo on the lateral side with its Head motif and additional Reebok/Brain Dead branding can be found on the bright yellow tongue tag. The crown detail of the shoe is the fuzzy yellow laces which pair snugly with the tumbled brown suede surrounding the lacing system.

This isn’t Brain Dead and Reebok’s first partnership, as the LA brand joined forces with Japanese label BEAMS in 2018 to revamp a Reebok track suit and Classic Leather sneakers.

There’s no official release date for Brain Dead’s fuzzy take on the Reebok Classic Leather just yet, but check out the sneak peek below for now and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
