After last week’s teaser video, Call of Duty developers Treyarch have officially unveiled Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War.

The reveal came via an in-game event in the series’ massively popular battle royale, Warzone. The event, called “Know Your History,” saw players drop into a modified Verdansk and complete a set of mysterious objectives. First, players had to collect intel via downed enemies and loot boxes. Then, they were instructed to grab a key, which unlocked a box nearby. The box finally gave each team unique coordinates on the map where they would find the series character Frank Woods. Woods then presented each player with a weapon and the teaser for the new game rolled.

The campaign trailer for the game, which is seemingly set in 1981, shows team of ex-Vietnam soldiers operating as a secret group under President Ronald Reagan, who was featured prominently in the campaign footage. Indoor escape scenes, the return of the RC-XD, huge plane crashes, and more are all shown in an epic collection of footage. The end of the trailer gives players an official November release date for the game as well as a short desert-themed teaser for the multiplayer gameplay reveal, which is set to take place on September 9th.

Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War releases on November 13th, 2020. You can pre-purchase the game now on any platform to get early beta access. Check out the trailer for the game down below.
