Nike’s annual Air Max Day celebrations are getting better by the year with newer silhouettes and concepts redefining the idea of “Air”. This year, Champs Sports took their Air Max Day events to Atlanta where they linked with DJ Khaled, who helped with the “Game on Air” campaign at Maynard Jackson High School. Upon arrival were 75 excelling students that received pairs of Air Max’s as a token for good grades and being Maynard Jackson High School’s best.
DJ Khaled, who’s retail roots stem from his experience at Champs Sports as a teen, opened up about his journey with the sportswear retailer and touched on a few keys with the students at Maynard High School. Khaled stated that during his experience at Champs Sports, He would drop mixtapes inside of sneaker boxes when a customer would purchase a shoe, to now having his own location alongside a recording studio in Miami.
