Original Story (05/20/20): A 2006 collaboration between CLOT and Nike is set to return in 2021 for its 15th anniversary, the Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death.” The shoe first released to celebrate the grand opening of ACU Shanghai, China’s first sneaker boutique.
This Air Max 1 showcases CLOT’s Chinese roots, reflected by its “Chi” theme. Amongst Chinese history, “Chi” is known as spiritual energy that flows everywhere and most commonly relates to the human body and its connection with the universe. The sneaker has insoles that reflect pressure points, whilst the translucent outsole displays an image of the foot. The no-liner construction features a transparent toe-box, snakeskin swooshes and tongue, where the ankle collar uses ostrich skin.

Update (03/17/21): Following its JUICE STORE launch, the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” arrives via Nike SNKRS on March 27th. The China-exclusive “CHA” colorway will debut the same day.
Update (02/18/21): CLOT has announced the launch of its “K.O.D” Air Max 1 via JUICE STORE. The shoe will be available starting February 27th at JUICE STORE locations worldwide, special pop-up activations, the JUICE STORE app (worldwide shipping), and JUICE ONLINE Mini Program (Mainland China shipping). Stay tuned to CLOT’s and JUICE STORE’s socials for detailed raffle and pop-up info. A larger release is expected to follow in March.

Update (02/03/21): DJ Khaled has taken to Instagram to share a first look at the 2021’s CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss Of Death.” Upon first inspection, we see that updates have been made to both the insoles and outsoles.
