COMME des GARÇONS has taken to the runway to unveil its CDG HOMME PLUS SS22 collection by Rei Kawakubo entitled “The Existence of Flowers.” Similarly to the SS21 show which revealed a Nike collab on the Air Carnivore and the FW21 show which revealed the CDG Foamposite One, we were treated to a first look at a new Nike collaboration with the collection’s reveal. Taking on another obscure model from the 1990s, this time we see a collab on the Nike Air Sunder Max.

For this collaboration, CDG gives the 1998 model a stripped down, contemporary look. The shoe is constructed from premium neoprene and nubuck leather with minimal exposed branding: a mini Swoosh on the lateral near and “AIR” at the bottom of the eyestay panel. However, COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS branding can be found on the tongue underneath the zipper closure. The shoe is previewed in three colorways: all-white, all-black, and white/black.

Grab a first look at the CDG Homme Plus x Nike Air Sunder Max below. Expect these to launch in early 2022 via select retailers such as Dover Street Market.
