Converse’s beloved Chuck Taylor, originally created for the sport of basketball, has become a timeless silhouette with deep roots in punk culture. Italy’s Slam Jam celebrates this history with their own take on the Chuck 70. This collaboration follows an outdoor-inspired collection released this past spring.
Slam Jam founder Luca Benini’s love of the ’80s and American rock bands of the era informs this collaboration. Constructed, or rather, deconstructed, with fraying and rips, the Slam Jam x Converse Chuck 70 completes any punk rock fit. It sits on a white rubber midsole with a black pinstripe and grey foxing. The upper features loose lined black textile. As a finishing touch, the Slam Jam and Converse logos take their place on the lateral and medial sides of the heels.
The Slam Jam x Converse Chuck Taylor 70 is available now exclusively at Slam Jam doors and the Slam Jam website.
