Original Story (10/03/22): “Peep the aura, Saucony Azura” raps Esoteric on the 2019 Czarface track “Bizarro,” foreshadowing a 2022 collaboration between Czarface and Saucony.
Part hip-hop supergroup, part comic book superhero, Czarface was formed in 2013 by underground hip-hop duo 7L & Esoteric and Wu-Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck. The character of Czarface was designed by graphic designer and street artist L’Amour Supreme.
The limited edition Czarface Azura features a premium leather upper with a Czarface monogram debossed on the black side paneling. Tongues come adorned with a molded rubber Czarface mask, while “Czarcony” branding appears on the left shoe’s lateral heel panel. As an added bonus, L’Amour Supreme’s custom Czarface artwork appears on the insoles, outsoles, and throughout the drawer-style shoebox. The sneakers also come with a special Super7 ReAction Figure of Czarface wearing the shoes.
The Czarface x Saucony Azura “Czarcony” will make its debut this Friday, October 7th at a special signing event at New York Comic Con, going down at 5pm at the Super7 booth (#1325). Expect an online release to follow shortly after. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for additional release details.
