Following the launch of his second anime tee collection, Dbruze is back with another nostalgia-inducing drop. This time, the self-proclaimed Culture Guru tugs at our heartstrings with Toys “R” Us and Blockbuster merch.
Paying homage to the now defunct toy store, the Dbruze Toys “R” Us tee features throwback graphics on the front and back sides. The front reads “I’m a Toys ‘R’ Us Kid!” and includes graphics of the store’s mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe. It also features the years 1957 and 2018 in toy blocks, marking the company’s founding year and the year the company closed all of its stores worldwide. The back side comes with Toys “R” Us catalog-style graphics, depicting ’90s toys such as Game Boys, Pokémon cards, and more. The tee comes in action figure-style packaging for an extra touch of nostalgia.
The drop also includes a Blockbuster collection comprised of a tee and hoodie that pays homage to the defunct video store franchise. Every order from this collection comes with a custom Blockbuster membership card, while a limited number of orders will come with a Blockbuster employee action figure encased in a VHS tape.
