In 2014, FEATURE teamed up with Saucony for its first sneaker collaboration, the G9 Shadow “High Roller.” This kicked off a series of casino-themed footwear releases between the two, each paying homage to the sneaker boutique’s Las Vegas roots. The series is now coming to an end with the release of the FEATURE x Saucony Shadow 6000 “Chocolate Chip.”
Like the previous entries in the “High Roller” series, the color scheme for the “Chocolate Chip” is derived from the colors of a casino chip. This time, as a tribute to vintage Vegas casinos, the shoe comes in brown, pink, and different tones of white as a nod to retro versions of the $5,000 chip.
As this is the series’ grand finale, FEATURE went all out with the materials. Nubuck is paired with tumbled leather overlays. Shaggy suede on the heel and tongue. Mesh on the toe box. Green velvet on the signature Saucony dots and pink velvet accents on the heels. There’s even faux pony hair on the quarter panels.
Additional details include a FEATURE version of the $5,000 casino chip debossed on the smooth leather tongue plate, casino chip graphics on the insoles, and “Lucky You!” printed on the medial. Subtle green accents throughout the shoe nod to the green felt often seen on poker tables. The shoes come in a special box and are accompanied by a FEATURE x Saucony apparel collection that includes tees, hoodies, sweatpants, and trucker hats.
The FEATURE x Saucony Shadow 6000 “Chocolate Chip” and the accompanying apparel collection launch on Saturday, January 29th exclusively on FEATURE.com and in-store on a first-come, first-served basis.
