Over the past few years, clogs have emerged as a formidable rival to some of the most popular sneakers in the game. Birkenstocks may be the most recognized brand for clogs but silhouettes like the Salehe Bembury Crocs, YEEZY FOAM RNNRs, and the Fear of God California have brought slip-on styles to hype culture.
The titan of footwear is now stepping into the game, as Jordan Brand is set to introduce the Jordan System.23, a clog-like silhouette with a distinctive twist. The System.23 features a rubberized foam upper with a low-profile cut. Pill-shaped perforations cover the toe box, presumably for breathability, while a slit on the rear separates from ankle collar from the the sole.
What sets the System.23 apart from other clogs is the removable knit inner bootie. It comes adorned with Jordan’s signature elephant print and features an extra mesh overlay on the bottom half, along with its own sole padding. The two pieces of the System.23 are meant to be worn together, though each can likely be worn as a standalone piece, adding levels of versatility to the silhouette.
The Jordan System.23 is expected launch in the upcoming months on Nike.com and at select retailers. Check out official images below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
