Brooklyn-based LQQK Studio has teamed up with Reebok to create special versions of the Classic Leather that pay homage to the art of screen printing.
Established in 2010 as a creative hub for printmakers and designers, LQQK is known for its expert use of traditional screen printing techniques. The LQQK Classic Leather comes in two colorways, each featuring a textured jacquard upper with a custom-color design inspired by leaf-print camouflage. The “Pink Camo” colorway will be a LQQK-exclusive, while a “Green Camo” colorway will be more widely available.
“When we designed this shoe, we wanted a printed pattern to be the main focus,” says LQQK Studio founder Alex Dondero. “We didn’t want to make a white shoe that doesn’t push the envelope. That’s how we came up with this wild printed pattern shoe… The Printer’s Shoe!”
Both colorways of the LQQK Studio x Reebok Classic Leather will be available on September 16th on the LQQK Studio website. The shoes will also be available as at a pop-up event at 109 Montrose Ave. in Brooklyn that runs from September 16-19, open from 12pm to 7pm.
The “Green Camo: colorway of the LQQK Studio will receive a global release from Reebok.com and select retailers on September 21st. Check out both colorways below.
