McDonald’s is dusting off a 25 year-long legacy with the Space Jam franchise, dating back to 1996 when the fast food company released their now-iconic collectible Happy Meal toys. In celebration of the upcoming film Space Jam: A New Legacy, McD is teaming up with skateboard lifestyle brand Diamond Supply Co. to present a collection of apparel that pays homage to the sequel and its Looney Tunes stars.
The collection features the Tune Squad front and center. Beloved characters like Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny and Taz all make an appearance. Fans can choose to flex a classic-cut jersey and matching basketball shorts, t-shirts and cotton hoodies. The jersey sets feature a blue fabric with a gradient dying process. The tees are available in black or white, displaying most of the Tune Squad, similar to the hoodie iteration. Each piece in the four-part capsule includes co-branding from the Golden Arches and Diamond Supply Co. Other details include colorful fabric designs, Tune Squad players in action and special jersey names and numbers.
The McDonald’s x Diamond Supply Co. Space Jam: A New Legacy collection will be available July 3rd at 9am PT via Diamond Supply’s website and its flagship in LA. The film is set for a July 16th release date.
