Developers NetherRealm have announced the addition of three characters to round out Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate: Classic series characters Rain and Mileena and ‘80s action hero Rambo.
Mileena and Rain have long been considered staple characters in the Mortal Kombat series. Rain, a demigod who can harness the powers of water and rainstorms, has been upgraded with a katar to slash and stab his foes. Mileena, on the other hand, has been given claw gloves to use alongside her traditional sais and horrific fanged jaws.
Rambo, who is new to the series, seems to heavily rely on his machine guns and weaponry (though he’ll likely have melee moves to supplement them.) Notably, NetherRealm was able to get Sylvester Stallone himself to voice Rambo in the game. The version of the character is modeled primarily after his appearance and attitude in 1982’s Rambo: First Blood.
The characters will come out as a standalone DLC through the Kombat Pack 2 or as part of Mortal Kombat Ultimate Edition (which includes all previous DLC for the game) on November 17th. The game will also release for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X, which are both set to drop next month as well.
