Following 2018’s Nasir, executively-produced by Kanye West, and 2019’s compilation album The Lost Tapes 2, hip-hop legend Nas is back with a new project, this time working with acclaimed producer Hit-Boy.

Both Nas and Hit-Boy have taken to social media to share a teaser video for the collaborative project. In the video, you can hear Nas say that he’s “been trying to do this with this man for years,” referring to a joint project with the Grammy Award-winning producer. Recent hits from Hit-Boy include Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” and Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks in the Middle.”

This news come a few days after it was revealed that Nas has been in the studio with Dr. Dre, possibly working on their own secret project. Though it remains to be seen whether this is an EP or a full-on album from Nas x Hit-Boy, we know that the project is slated to arrive on August 21st via all music streaming services.
