The New Balance 550 has quickly become one of the brand’s most popular silhouettes since its reintroduction in 2020. Many colorways of the retro basketball model have dropped since then, giving fans tons of styles to choose from. It doesn’t seem like the 550 will be going away anytime soon, as a handful of unreleased samples have surfaced, possibly indicating what’s in store for 2022.
Among the leaked styles is a brown and green colorway equipped with a CORDURA upper and a black midsole, a style similar to one of the recently released ALD x New Balance 993s. Another comes dressed in navy blue suede. The remaining colorways feature a white leather base for their uppers, each paired with pops of color such as muted pink or mocha brown.
