First Look at the Nike Air Force 1 “Sashiko”

0

Following the release of the Air Jordan 4 “Sashiko,” an Air Force 1 dressed in a style inspired by the traditional Japanese stitching technique has surfaced.

Possibly created to celebrate the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo, this “Sashiko” Air Force 1 comes dressed in a navy blue and white color scheme with each panel featuring its own pattern for an overall patchwork design. For example, the mudguard features a basket weave pattern, while the toe box features two other textures split down its middle. A light grey suede is used for the eyestays and heel cap, the latter featuring gold Kanji embroidery. Additional gold accents can be found near the toe box in the form of a gold dubrae and mini Swoosh. Red-on-white branding on the tongue and insoles may be a nod to the Japanese flag, while additional Kanji graphics that translate to “Just Do It” are found underfoot through the translucent outsole.
