Nike SNKRS app users in Europe have been celebrating a special made-up holiday known as SNKRS Day on August 8th, coinciding with the anniversary of the the launch of the app in the EU on August 8, 2017. The day is filled with re-releases of the year’s hottest drops, special performances, and more. Nike also drops new styles for the occasion, and this year sees the release of a special Air Jordan 1 Low and Air Huarache.

Both the AJ1 Low and Huarache feature yellow and leopard print as part of their makeup, a nod to a rather obscure Air Max 1 colorway released in 2007. Known as the Air Max 1 “Yellow Safari,” this colorway was released only in Canada, and to our knowledge, was only available at Livestock locations. The inspiration is more prevalent on the Air Huarache, as it also features hits of red, black, and white that were found on the Air Max 1. The AJ1 Low also includes red, though on the insoles, and also features “GOT ‘EM” text seen through the translucent outsoles.
