Original Story (06/24/22): Nike will be bringing back the Air Max 97 “Gold Bullet” in 2023 for another retro release, sources tell Complex.
Originally released in 1999, the Air Max 97 “Gold Bullet” (aka “Metallic Gold”) has been retro’d a handful of times over the years, most recently in 2018. It is essentially a gold version of the “Silver Bullet,” a fan-favorite OG colorway, which is also expected to return soon. Metallic gold dresses its mesh and leather upper, while Varsity Red swooshes appear on the side panels and tongues.
The Nike Air Max 97 “Gold Bullet” is expected to drop in Spring 2023 on Nike.com and at select retailers worldwide. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.

Update (09/06/22): While 2023 is still months away, official images of the upcoming “Metallic Gold” Air Max 97s have arrived, likely indicating that a release may take place before year’s end.
