Air Max was one of the most groundbreaking innovations in sneakers when Nike introduced the technology to the public back in 1987. The Swoosh refers to the Air Max platform as one of constant evolution, something we have seen first hand over the last 33 years. In the continued innovative push of Air Max, Nike Sportswear previews three new silhouettes for Spring 2021 that celebrates the continued progress of innovation.

Nike Air Max 2090 EOI (Evolution of Icons)

This sneaker takes its inspiration from the subtle detailing of Air Max past. There are recognizable design elements present that existed in previous Air Max’s like the Air Max 90, Air Max 180, and the Air Max BW. The Air Max 2090 is part of the larger “Evolution Of Icons” collection that will release in two installments that includes other Air Max sneakers like the Air Max 270 React EOI, Air Max Zephyr EOI, Air Max 90 SE EOI, Air Max 95 EOI, and Air Max Plus SE EOI.

Nike Air Max Viva

Building on the historic iterations of women’s styles of Air Max previously developed, Nike introduces the Air Max Viva. The sole unit features an exaggerated Air Max unit in the heel, a speckled Cushlon midsole, and two-tone outsole, while the leather upper uses closed mesh and nubuck details to finish the design.

Nike VaporMax Evo

Further inspiration taken from classic models, the VaporMax Evo is a bold exploration of the well known VaporMax style. It effectively blends a fusion of classic Air Max models including Air Max 90, Air Max 93 and Air Max Plus. In the box you get a booklet that describes the lineage of the shoe and the evolution of the Air Max logo and other Air Max history.

These Air Max styles will release throughout Spring 2021 on nike.com and select retailers. Keep an eye on Modern Notoriety for more information about individual release dates for each of these models.
