The Nike Dunk Low Gets the “UNLV” Treatment

0

Nike first introduced the Dunk in 1985 with the “Be True To Your School” Pack. The Swoosh struck up deals with schools across the country to make the model the official shoe of their basketball teams, with each school getting their own colorway of the Dunk High. Included were the University of Michigan, University of Kentucky, University of Iowa, Georgetown, Syracuse, St. John’s and UNLV. The grey and red UNLV pair from the BTTYS pack is now slated to return, this time as a Low.

This offering of the Dunk Low comes equipped with a grey leather upper with University Red overlays, inspired by the colors of the Runnin’ Rebels of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. You may remember this color scheme as one of the three used by Virgil Abloh with his Off-White x Nike Dunk Low collection last year. Even without the hype of an Off-White collab, the OG Dunk color scheme is a hit and will be sure to sell out just as quick.

The Nike Dunk Low “UNLV” is slated to arrive sometime in 2021. The shoe has surfaced in a grade school size, but expect it to arrive in full family sizing. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates on its release.
