Ever the innovators, Nike announces the new GO FlyEase that looks to change how you put on and take off your shoes. The model’s innovative design make it the first “hands-free” sneaker we’ve seen and it looks unbelievably easy to use.
Providing a shoe that appeals to the broadest range of lifestyles, the Nike GO FlyEase uses several patent pending technologies to create the innovative sneaker experience. As described by Nike, these technologies include:
- Bi-stable Hinge – Nike GO FlyEase’s bi-stable hinge keeps the shoe securely open upon entry/exit and closed when in use.
- Kickstand Heel – The intuitive kickstand heel mimics the action many intuitively perform to kick off their shoes, but by design and without compromising the heel.
- The “Diving Board” – The underfoot “diving board” maintains a continuous foot-bed for comfort and stability.
- Tensioner – The tensioner band holds the shoe open and closed, snapping the shoe into position.
The sophisticated accessible design in the GO FlyEase is the culmination of continued evolution of the FlyEase technology that Nike has continued to refine. The empowering nature of the design makes the familiar for many motion of kicking your shoes off into an engineered experience that allows you to take the shoes off the same way without damaging them.
