Last month, Vanessa Bryant and Nike announced that they will be continuing their partnership and that Nike Kobe shoes will be making their return. They also announced that the first Nike Kobe product to release will be the Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16,” which we now have official images for.
The “Mambacita Sweet 16” comes in a black and white color scheme, the same colors as the uniforms of Team Mamba, the girls basketball team Kobe Bryant coached and Gianna Bryant played in. The heels come with the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation logo, along with Kobe and Gigi’s names in gold. The lateral heel includes the number 2 in gold, the number that Gigi wore as part of Team Mamba.
This Kobe 6 Protro will be releasing in honor of what would have been Gigi Bryant’s 16th birthday, which lands on May 1st, 2022. All proceeds from the shoe will benefit the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
