Original Story (04/13/21): Kicked off with the return of the “Grinch” colorway late last year, Nike’s tenth anniversary celebration of the Kobe 6 continues throughout 2021. Next on the Kobe 6 Protro lineup is the return of the “White Del Sol” colorway, aka “POP” (Playoff Pack).

This Kobe 6 initially released in the early summer of 2011 as Kobe Bryant and the Lakers entered the playoffs yet again. The simple color scheme pays homage to the LA team’s home jerseys: white and gold with black and grey accents. The 2021 version matches the decade-old release, though updated with today’s Zoom Air technology as the name Protro suggests.

The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “POP” is listed as an April 14th release at retailers in Asia. A global release is surely short to follow. Check out official images below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for a global release date.

Update (05/08/21): Vanessa Bryant recently suggested there are only two Nike Kobe releases left, as the partnership between Kobe Bryant and Nike has ended. If true, this is possibly be the last Nike Kobe release ever, following the announcement of the  UNDEFEATED x Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Hall of Fame” release. Look for the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “POP” to arrive on June 3rd.
