Two Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 sneakers are set to release this year: the “Light Bone” and “Lakers”. Skaters have been skating in the Air Jordan 1 since its release in 1985, so it’s fitting for Nike SB to use the Air Jordan 1 silhouette in their lineup. While this shoe looks just like an Air Jordan 1, just with an SB tongue and insole, after some wears you’ll start to see what makes this shoe special. The paint on the Swoosh and overlays chips away over time, revealing a second color underneath. These are skate shoes that are meant to be worn in, adding more character with each use.
The first of the two to release will be the “Light Bone” colorway. The black paint on the Swoosh and ankle of the “Light Bone” Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 breaks away, revealing a hot pink layer underneath that matches the insole. The gray paint breaks away to reveal “Crimson Tint” pink.
Skate shops and select retailers across the US will be releasing the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 on May 10th, while a global release is set for May 25th. Retail price is $175.
