Original Story (09/15/20): Continuing the indisputable “Year of the Dunk,” photos have surfaced of a collaboration between Nike SB and Atlas, a skate shop in San Mateo, CA.
In a first look provided by Nike SB team athlete Theotis Beasley, the collaborative Dunk High uses a primarily grey and soft blue colorway with a special Nike SB “Atlas” script tongue badge (almost reminiscent of the Nike Flight series). While the main pair previewed seems to come with an artificially yellowed sole (likely a homage to the storied history of the Dunk as a collector’s item), another model comes with a normal ice-white midsole. The laces are yellowed on both pairs, and they sit atop a grey leather upper. The shoe’s navy-blue leather Swoosh sits offset atop a yellowed printed underlay, and the model is rounded out by a navy heel.
There’s almost zero official information on this collaboration, save for a “Lost At Sea” teaser on Instagram. Check out that post, as well as some first look photos of the shoe, below.

Update (09/17/20): Atlas has shared a couple more teasers of their upcoming “Lost At Sea” SB Dunk High. The story behind these seems to be inspired by the “Great Shoe Spill of 1990.” On May 27, 1990 a cargo ship en route from Korea to the US encountered a storm, causing it to spill 21 40ft containers just south of the Alaska Peninsula. Five of the containers contained 61,000 Nike shoes, including the Air Flight 90. These eventually washed up on the shores of San Francisco.
The Atlas SB Dunk High comes dressed in a colorway inspired by the OG “Dark Royal Blue” Air Flight 90. The cracked paint and weathered midsole gives the shoe a vintage and distressed “washed at sea” look.
Update (09/15/20): Official images of the Atlas x Nike SB Dunk High “Lost At Sea” have arrived. Check them out below and stay tuned for official release info.
