Original Story (03/02/20): Nike Skateboarding continues their tradition of releasing weed-inspired kicks on 4/20 with this year’s “Strawberry Cough” Dunk High.
The Nike SB “Strawberry Cough” gets its name and design from the marijuana strain of the same name. The shoe features a textured red upper that mimics the surface of an actual strawberry with fuzzy green suede on the heel and Swoosh. A coughing strawberry logo by artist Todd Bratrud adorns the heels and insoles. In previous years, Bratrud’s 4/20 creations included the classic 2010 “Skunk” Dunks and 2018’s “White Widow” SB Dunk Mid.

Update (04/21/20): 4/20 came and went and while we didn’t get the Strawberry Coughs, we did get a super limited release of the Granddaddy Purps. The Strawberry Coughs are still coming though, we just don’t know when exactly.
In the meantime, Nike SB has sent skate shops Strawberry Cough prints by Todd Bratrud inspired by our current social distancing situation. These prints are signed and individually numbered with only 1,000 available worldwide. Limited amounts will be available at select shops for $75 USD. As second print is expected to release alongside the shoe.
