Original Story (01/10/22): A sample of a new “Phillies” colorway of the Nike SB Dunk Low has surfaced.

This Dunk Low features comes equipped with a University Blue suede upper, paired with a Team Red Swoosh with white leather trimming. This color scheme is reminiscent of the ’80s uniforms of the Philadelphia Phillies. The gum rubber outsole on this pair comes with a touch of pink on the heel, similar to the outsoles of the Air Jordan 1 “Bubblegum” released in December. There is as connection between baseball and bubblegum, as players are often seen chewing bubblegum in the dugout, though it can also be a nod to the “chewing gum” tree that was located on Philadelphia’s South Street before it was cut down in 2008.

Grab a look at a sample pair of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Phillies” below. These are expected to launch this summer alongside a matching Dunk High. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
