Besides random gems on eBay, this Nike x J.Crew collaboration piece is probably the closest most of us can get to Bill Bowerman’s original Waffle Racers from 1974. It’s been sitting on the J.Crew website for a while now, and after a brief period of disappearing, it’s back again (and this time with a full men’s and women’s size run). According to the J.Crew website, this variation is an exactly replica of the vintage style, from the waffle-pattern treads down to the nylon and suede upper, and J.Crew.com is the only place where you can cop these in the US. The best part? The almost-vintage $80 price tag.
