Original Story (07/24/20): Multi-time collaborators Packer Shoes and New Balance have joined forces again on one of the hottest models of the year: the New Balance 992.
The 992 has already seen a few high-profile releases with eclectic and incredible brands like WTAPS and JJJJound this year, and Packer’s sneak peek of the model seems to indicate a collaboration just as slick and well-crafted as its recent company. Posted by Victor Kan, brand director and buyer for Packer, the up-close teaser reveals a muted honey-brown suede atop off-white durable mesh. This falls in line with the aforementioned 992 releases of this year so far; all have utilized subtle but rich earth tones for a versatile and classic model that takes up a space none other could in your sneaker rotation.

Update (09/08/20): Packer has officially announced the release of its New Balance 992 collab. According to Packer, the shoe is “a celebration of New Balance’s Made in USA craftsmanship and all those who get their hands dirty to make the world a more beautiful place.”
The campaign for the shoe stars Michael C. Thorpe, a Boston-bred artist now working out of Queens, who has carved a unique lane in the art world through his intricate quilted visions.
