Reebok and Panini America have come together, merging the worlds of sneakers and collectibles with the release of a Question footwear collection. The collaboration celebrates cultural icons Allen Iverson and the coveted Prizm brand of sports cards.
Panini’s Prizm cards were first introduced in 2012 and have quickly become one of the most sought-after products for modern sports cards collectors. The high-gloss Optichrome designs are now being used as inspiration for special makeups of Allen Iverson’s historic Question basketball shoe.
Special design hits on the Panini Questions include shrinkwrap-inspired all-over logo branding, embroidered Iverson autographs, light-reactive parallel treatments, classic Panini yellow-tag branding, “Rookie Shoe” badge hang tags, and more.
Like Prizm cards, each of the Panini Questions have different rarities. The most widely available is the “Tiger Prizm” Question Mid. Coming in adult and youth sizing, this Question features a white leather upper with a blue Tiger Prizm overlay. The more-limited Question Low “Rookie Signature Prizm” comes in glossy royal blue, paying homage to Iverson’s rookie team colors. The rarest of the three available to the public is the “Black Pulsar Prizm” Question Mid, which features Panini America’s hyper-rare “Black Pulsar Prizm” treatment across the upper paired with smooth suede overlays.
Select pairs purchased directly from Reebok and at select retailers will come packaged with a pack of limited-edition Panini America x Reebok Iverson trading cards. Each card features imagery of A.I. from the early 2000s captured by photographer Gary Land.
The rarest pair of the collection is a friends-and-family exclusive “Blue Dazzle Prizm” Question Mid inspired by Iverson’s historic blue and gold Denver player-edition from 2007. Only 100 were made, each of which shipped with an exclusive Panini x Reebok “Mile High” gold-vinyl insert card.
