The notorious bloggers over at Hypebeast have out done themselves with their most recent collaboration. Based on their Asian heritage and passion for food, they have designed two amazing sneakers around the subject of Chinese dim sum(After the Jump). The white pair of Puma Blaze LTWT’s features a translucent upper that seeps through into what is actually inspired by the “har gao” dumpling. The pinkish-orange that is peeking through the transparent upper is actually meant to represent shrimp.
On the other hand, we have the OG Puma Blaze inspired by shui mai, a golden pork dumpling that is a staple in many people’s diet overseas. A bamboo patterned dust-bag will be offered with the sneakers since the dim sum is traditionally served inside of a bamboo steamer, as shown in the video below. The way that Hypebeast has taken their inspiration and translated it onto these Puma’s is simply stunning! Stay tuned for we will be sure to let you know when we get a release date.
