Following an early leak, New Balance Hoops and super agent Rich Paul officially announce the release of their upcoming collaboration.
The Rich Paul for New Balance collection consists of a 550 and apparel and was created for anyone who overcame impossible circumstances to chase and achieve their dreams. See, Paul’s KLUTCH Sports Group represents some of the biggest athletes across major professional sports, though his rise to the top didn’t come overnight. Through hard work, creativity, grit, and determination, Rich Paul was able to carve his own path in the industry, and that’s what he aims to inspire with this collaboration.
“Growing up, we always had an affinity for fashion but had very limited resources to express ourselves, and few examples of what success could look like off the court,” said Paul. “When New Balance approached me about a collaboration, more than anything, I wanted to create something to inspire and empower young people coming up behind us – for boys and girls with creativity, passion and fearless determination to stay true to themselves.”
The Rich Paul 550 features hits of pebbled leather, similar to a basketball, a nod to Rich Paul’s influence on professional basketball and the sports industry at large. Apparel in the collection includes tees, basketball shorts, and full sweatsuits made for both on and off the court. The color palette of the collection is comprised of Raw Cashew off-white and Eclipse blue, meant to represent the limitless sky of possibilities for those seeking to break the mold.
