Following the debut of the NB 574 YURT and its accompanying apparel, the second part to Salehe Bembury’s “Universal Communication” New Balance collection is here.
Bembury is one of the collaborators that has propelled New Balance to frontiers previously unimaginable for the Boston-based footwear brand. With stints as a YEEZY footwear designer and the head of men’s footwear at Versace on his resume, Salehe has a history of pushing new designs and clearly executing his creative vision.
For this “Universal Communication” project with New Balance, the designer continues his hot streak with a full apparel collection that accompanies the whistle-equipped 574 YURT shoe. Pieces in this second drop include an elongated shell jacket in two colorways, colorful pullover fleeces, Japanese-inspired kimonos, a sherpa cap, and other cold-weather accessories. A great outdoors theme is central to the pieces.
