Sneakersnstuff opened their first store in 1999 on a back street of Stockholm, Sweden. Since then, they’ve grown to be one of the largest sneaker retailers, expanding to cities like London, Berlin, Paris, New York City, and Los Angeles. To celebrate their 20th anniversary, SNS is launching an exclusive Jordan Pack that draws inspiration from when SNS first opened. Each of the three silhouettes pay homage to the colors of the original store interior and the classic Sneakersnstuff logo, which was designed by the co-founders right before they opened the doors for the first time.
The “Past” is represented by an Air Jordan 1 Mid made from sail-colored leather, Wolf Grey-colored nubuck, and hints of Team Red. SNS then pays tribute to the status quo of current Jordan shoes with the Jordan Mars 270, with design features from the Jordan 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12 as well as being stacked with an Air Max 270 heel unit. Rounding off the sneaker trio is the Proto-Max 720, embodying the future and where new concepts and technologies can lead to.
SNS tells the story of Past, Present, Future through NBA forward Rui Hachmiura, the first Japanese-born player to be drafted into the NBA. Presenting his evolution as a basketball player, SNS portraits the rising star in a Past – Practice; Present – The Draft; Future – The Player setting, reimagining his young career.
The SNS Exclusive Air Jordan 1 Mid, Jordan Mars 270, and Jordan Proto-Max 720 will be released online and in-store in Stockholm, Berlin, Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo on December 18th, 2019 via sign-up through the SNS App from December 5th at sneakersnstuff.com.
