SNS and adidas team up once again with another collaboration, this time adding savory notes to the adidas GT.
Originally founded in Sweden, SNS has built a large following that reaches a global scale with stores in NYC, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. For this latest project, SNS draws inspiration from the location of its New York storefront in the city’s historic Meatpacking District.
Drawing influence by the area, the adidas GT “NYC” is outfitted with a premium brown suede upper placed on top of a dark gum bottom. The colors are based on well-done beef and the brown brick that’s commonly found in the buildings in the area. It also features a leather tongue and lining, as well as a a map of the Meatpacking District illustrated on the insole. Brown leather three stripes and heel tabs round out the design.
To highlight the history of the Meatpacking District and its murals, SNS enlisted NYC street artist Steve “ESPO” Powers to recreate classic butcher shop signs and posters.
The SNS x adidas GT “NYC” will be available on March 9th exclusively on the SNS website and SNS retail locations, retailing for $119 USD.
