Nearly forty years after its original debut, the New Balance 770 is still a staple running silhouette. In celebration of its iconic shape, Sneakersnstuff is giving the low-top sneaker a Frankenstein-like “Secret Flimbly Experiment” makeover using leftover materials from three New Balance 1500s, specifically the M1500PRA, M1500PRT and M1500NBG.
To fully capture the “horror-esque” theme of the shoe, SNS has enlisted illustrator and visual artist Vernon Luna, aka @Moonsparkx, to create campaign artwork of this Made in Flimby creation.
The SNS-exclusive New Balance 770 “Secret Flimby Experiment” will release April 14th for $169 USD via the SNS site and raffle on the SNS app. Check it out below along with the three New Balance 1500s whose scraps were used for this model.
