Soulland, the Danish menswear brand founded by Silas Adler, has revealed a new collaboration with Chinese lifestyle and athletic brand Li-Ning.
During its Spring/Summer 2023 “The Spring Devil” presentation at Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence, Soulland showcased new footwear and apparel from PRE-INTER-POST, its running-focused collaborative project with Li-Ning that launched in 2020. Inspired by their mutual passion for sports and storytelling, the project aims to build a global community of dedicated individuals with a passion for running. The collection is designed for pre, inter, and post, as in to be worn before, during, and after running.
Both brands effortlessly complement each other, combining unique Scandinavian designs with Li-Ning’s advanced technology. This season, the duo present their Shadow and Furious Rider 6 running models in monochromatic color blocking, including a silver spraypaint iteration. The collection also features two lifestyle silhouettes, the Yun You Slay slide and the Exceed Infinity.
Aside from footwear, the collection also includes a selection of genderless apparel. The foundation for the apparel is Soulland’s Family of Fabrics, a group of 15 fabrics that are responsible, versatile, and high-quality. All fabrics in the collection comply with one of key sustainable requirements, such as being made from a minimum of 50% certified organic content, at least 50% certified recycled content, or made from a minimum of 50% lyocell.
“I am excited to explore new directions with Li-Ning as well as expand on our successful running collab, PRE-INTER-POST,” says Soulland founder and creative director Silas Oda Adler. “Soulland is an energy, and this should be the focus. I love designing different silhouettes through customization. I brought modified Li-Ning items into the mix as well as embraced a wider range of product not limited to running. This is the start of something new for Soulland and for Li- Ning.”
Styles from Li-Ning x Soulland Vol. 1 are set to release on June 25th on the Soulland website and select retailers. Vol. 2 will be presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week in August, with future drops in Holiday 2022 and early Spring 2023.
