At New York Comic-Con last week, American manga and anime publisher Viz Media announced that they will be creating a manga for the astronomical Star Wars franchise.
The manga will be titled Star Wars: The Legends of Luke Skywalker and will follow author Ken Liu’s anthology back in 2017 which preludes the blockbuster Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The anthology consists of stories that were spread via word of mouth about the Jedi legend Luke Skywalker. The stories are told by children in the Star Wars universe and may be tall tales, completely true, or as real as the CGI used to make the films. Working on the new manga will be manga veterans Akira Himekawa, Haruichi, Akira Fukaya, Subaru, and Takashi Kisaki. Himekawa and her team are the same people that created the manga adaptation of The Legend of Zelda.
The Star Wars: The Legends of Luke Skywalker manga will release in early 2020.
