Sesame Street has long since been a life resource for generations, sparking conversations about what self-acceptance and healthy relationships look like. Stephen Curry and his Curry Brand with Under Armour are collaborating with the timeless series to elevate topics like representation and social change through footwear.

The collaboration includes the release of the “Street Pack,” featuring seven colorways of the Curry FLOW 9, each heavily inspired by the Muppets of Sesame Street and the values they carry. For example, the “Count It” iteration focuses on Count von Count, reflecting a satin exterior and colorful interior that matches his cape. Oscar the Grouch inspires the “Talking Trash” colorway with a metallic tongue tab that mimics the Grouch’s trash can home. The “Taking Cookies” colorway features fuzzy tongue tabs drawn from Cookie Monster’s fur. Big Bird’s “Play Big” colorway takes on a bright yellow and pink color palette.

This isn’t just a chance for Curry to debut a new performance-ready silhouette. It’s also an opportunity for him to reach out to young athletes and support their journeys. Starting with the renovation of Harlem, New York’s basketball courts, and continuing with the Sesame Workshop partnership, Curry is ensuring his message is heard by all. As a father to three kids under the age of 9, Steph has a deep connection with Sesame Street, even making a guest appearance on the show alongside his wife Ayesha.

The Sesame Street x Curry FLOW 9 “Count It” and “Play Big” will release November 19th via underarmour.com. More colorways from the “Street Pack” will drop in the following months, alongside apparel. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for more info.
