Supreme has announced a partnership with American artist Joel-Peter Witkin for the label’s latest apparel capsule. The artist is known for creating imagery that bends the conventional notions of mortality, desire, and spirituality.
Witkin gains inspiration from a wide range of sources from Caravaggio and Giotto to early photographic history techniques. The artist is known for his nightmare-inducing scenes that depict objects such as cadavers and dismembered limbs.
This fall Supreme will be releasing a collection featuring three of Joel-Peter Witkin’s images: Mother and Child, Harvest, and Sanitarium. Check out the official images below and look for the Supreme x Joel-Peter Witkin capsule to release on Thursday, September 24th at Supreme locations and online (10 am CT).
