Takashi Murakami is gearing up to release his signature flower on the blockchain.
Originally planned for a 2021 release, Murakami withdrew from the idea being that he didn’t understand the NFT space fully. In 2022, after learning more about the space through his collaboration with RTFKT, Murakami picked up where he left off to release his Tamagotchi-like flower collection just in time for Lunar New Year.
The Murakami.Flowers NFT project will consist of pixelated flowers that will have their own traits including color, items, rarities, as well as different backgrounds to complement each design.
