The Nike VaporMax Evo Gets a “What The”-Style Colorway

After getting a first look at the new Nike VaporMax Evo in the brand’s Air Max Spring 2021 preview, Nike offers the new model in a “What The”-style colorway, officially called “Collector’s Closet.”

While the Vapormax Evo model itself is a celebration of Air Max past and future, fusing together elements of classic models like the Air Max 90, Air Max 93 and the Air Max Plus (among others), the “Collector’s Closet” colorway takes things to another level, incorporating design elements from several iconic Air Max Day releases. The mismatched mudguards on the left shoe references 2014’s “Moon Landing” Air Max 90 and the coveted “Warhawk” colorway, while the panels on the right shoe reference the atmos “Tiger Camo” Air Max 1 and Supreme “Snakeskin” Air Max 98. Safari print covers the heel overlays, while the midsole is decorated with recognizable branding from the Air Max 95 and Air Max Plus.

The Nike VaporMax Evo NRG “Collector’s Closet” is slated for a February 18th release via Nike.com as well as select retailers.

Update: US release slated for February 25th via Nike SNKRS.
