Following the release of the “Sorrel Red” colorway, Trinidad Jame$ is back with the second installment of his Hommewrk x Saucony Jazz 81 series.

Once again paying tribute to his home country of Trinidad, the shoes come in a “Carnival Black” colorway. With a similar construction to the first pair, the upper features soft premium leather, brushed suede, and a translucent toe box. While the first pair featured a hibiscus flower embroidered on the inside of the tongue, this time we see a golden steel pan. This is a nod to the Trinidad Panorama, the largest steelpan competition in the world that takes place in Trinidad every year during the Carnival.

Other details include gold accents, fitting for Mr. All Gold Everything, and multiple lace options in primary colors. This is also the first sneaker to feature “triple glow,” three different colors of glow-in-the-dark on the outsole.

“Carnival is an homage to the rich culture of Trinidad and Tobago” says Trinidad Jame$. “The 2nd color to my collaboration with Saucony is well-timed to launch during Black History Month. A perfect time to celebrate and ‘Do Your Hommewrk’ on another beautiful piece of my country’s history and heritage.”

The Hommewrk x Saucony Jazz 81 “Carnival Black” launches via on February 16th, followed by a global release via and select retailers on February 18th. Check out the pair below.
