Original Story (12/16/21): Union Los Angeles has quickly become the king of collaborations. With a multitude of joint projects released throughout 2021 for the shop’s 30th anniversary and Air Jordan 2 and Nike Dunk Low projects still on the way, we now have a first look at something else in the pipeline from Union x Nike.

Union will now be taking on the Nike Cortez, which is fitting as the Cortez is a staple in LA sneaker culture. Union’s version features suede construction with Dorze-inspired striped canvas underlays, co-branded cork insoles, Crater midsoles, and other intricate details. In terms of branding, Union branding can be found on the tongue tags, with the other side of the tag featuring Union’s Frontman logo and “Know The Ledge” motto. Another Frontman logo appears on the heel flap. Two colorways of the Union x Nike Cortez have been revealed so far: one in beige with pink and blue accents, the other in black with aqua blue stripes and kiwi green accents.

Grab a first look at both colorways of the Union x Nike Cortez below. Expect these to release in Spring 2022 via SNKRS and UNION LA. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for more info.
