When Wacko Maria collaborates with brands on footwear, they are known for their patterns, typically animal prints like leopard. For their latest Vault by Vans collaboration, the Tokyo-based label utilizes a vinyl record pattern to share their love of music.
Three colorways of the OG Authentic LX are releasing as part of this collaboration. Each have a black toe box and tongue, with variation found in the vinyl record pattern that is backdropped by light pink, off white, or baby blue. The uppers sit atop the classic thick white outsole and waffle gum outsole that Vans is known for. Wacko Maria was founded on the principle that “Music is the trigger of imaginations” and this collaboration continues their reputation for originality with a focus on the craftsmanship and detail.
This is the first of two collaborative drops between Vans and Wacko Maria, the second of which will come sometime in late May. The Wacko Maria x Vans OG Authentic LX drops March 20th via select retailers globally.
