Nike has officially announced the release of its sports-inspired collections by Off-White, sacai, Undercover, and AMBUSH created in celebration of the Tokyo Olympics. First up on the release schedule is Virgil Abloh’s futuristic interpretation of performance apparel and footwear.
This Off-White x Nike collection serves as a “bold celebration of the sport spectator” and is highlighted by Abloh’s take on the Air Zoom Tempo NEXT%. Reimagining one of Nike’s most innovative running silhouettes, the shoe features rubber spiked outsoles to invoke the feeling of race day on the track. Three colorways will be releasing: Black/Scream Green, Pink Glow/Racer Blue, and White/Solar Red.
On the apparel side, we see a heavyweight-knit tee with graffiti motifs, a 3-in-1 crop top designed for multi-action sport, pants with a shoelace at the waist inspired by skateboarding aesthetic, 2-in-1 shorts designed for athlete and fan alike, bike-inspired tight shorts, and socks with iconography that questions ‘What’s Good/Bad Taste?’ and ‘What’s Good/Bad Art?’.
