Original Story (07/19/22): Following the reveal of the Dunk Low, we now have a look at a second shoe created in partnership between Nike SB and John Rattray’s Why So Sad? initiative.
Why So Sad? is a project founded by Scottish pro skater John Rattray created to raise funds for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. The upcoming collaboration with Nike SB features the release of a Bruin Mid dressed in brown leather and suede. Like on the Dunks, the blue Swooshes fade away to reveal a yellow layer underneath, representing how mental health problems are not always visible on the surface. Other details include “Why So Sad?” branding on the inner tongue tags, question marks embroidered on the heels, Rattray’s Predatory Bird logo on the lower heels (one skating, one biking), question mark logos on the lace tips, and custom graphic insoles.
