Following Ye’s DONDA 2 concert last night in Miami, the artist formerly known as Kanye West launches the first drop from YEEZY GAP Engineered by Balenciaga.
The three-way collaboration between Ye, Gap, and Balenciaga creative director Demna was first announced at the top of the year. The first drop consists of eight styles. This includes a faded black hoodie, two 3/4 sleeve tees, a long-sleeve tee, a slightly cropped no-seam tee, fitted sweatpants, as well as a denim jacket and pants.
According to a press release, these styles “pay tribute to Gap’s timeless American icons rendered anew in wash, hue, and silhouette.” Also, the dove graphic found throughout the pieces is meant to represent “an unnamed hope for the future.”
Prior to this drop, leaks surfaced that revealed even more hoodie and tee colorways. Those additional styles are available for pre-order via Farfetch.
YEEZY GAP Engineered by Balenciaga Drop 1 is available starting February 23rd on yeezygap.com. Prices range from $120 for the logo 3/4 sleeve tee to $440 for the denim jacket. Check out the Drop 1 pieces and lookbook photos below:
